    TRANSPORTATION

No city can boast of better opportunities. Sapulpa has long been known as The Crossroads of America. Five major highways converge in Sapulpa. Sapulpa is located on Interstate 44 with a north and east connector to Tulsa. These routes make a trip to downtown Tulsa, or the newest developments in south Tulsa, shorter for Sapulpans than for most Tulsans. With the expansion of the Creek Turnpike, Sapulpans can drive directly to Broken Arrow or on to Fort Smith. A trip to Oklahoma City can be completed in a little over one hour with the two Turner Turnpike tollgates. Dallas is a short five to six hour drive.

Commercial air service is available from Tulsa International Airport, 25 miles from Sapulpa. This airport is a full-service field with three runways, the longest of which has a total runway length of 10,000 feet. There are at least ten major commercial airlines operating out of Tulsa International Airport and 17 air freight companies. Several smaller airports are also located within ten miles of Sapulpa for small aircraft traffic, including business jets. Water transportation is available at the Port of Catoosa just 35 miles from Sapulpa. The channel depth is nine feet and is connected via the Arkansas River to the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico.

Sapulpa has long been known as "The Crossroads of America"
