Education - Sapulpa School System

The goal of the Sapulpa School System is to provide Academic Excellence in a Caring Environment. The staff, under the direction of the school board, constantly strives to improve teaching methods, facilities and opportunities for students. Sapulpa's schools serves 4,318 students on 9 campuses. The school system is recognized in Oklahoma as a leader in academics, fine arts, athletics and technology, as evidenced by some of the achievements listed at right. Central Tech

Central Tech has been honored for seventeen consecutive years as a premiere Gold Star Area School, a recognition of excellence in exemplary programs serving the needs of the communities and individuals within the five-county Central Tech area district.
Central Tech serves people of all ages and walks of life, enrolling over 12,000 annually as full-time or part-time students, truck driver training students, law enforcement officers, business and industry clients, and career awareness students in elementary school. College credit is available in most of the programs at Central Tech. Adult students may earn credit directly through cooperative enrollment with Oklahoma State University, Okmulgee. Adults and high school students may earn credits through articulation with Tulsa Community College, Rogers State University, NEO, Miami and Cowley County Community College in Ark City, Kansas. Credits are applied toward an Associate's Degree at either institution. Evening classes for adults provide training in over 100 fields of interest with college credit available in many of them.
Central Tech's Business and Industry Services professionals provide services, training and Work - place assistance to area businesses of all sizes. Welding classes have recently been added to the Sapulpa Campus.

Higher Education
Sapulpa area residents have the opportunity to earn degrees at every level. Nationally accredited academic programs are available only a short, 15-minute drive from Sapulpa. Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma, both comprehensive, nationally recognized and respected institutions, offer programs at the doctoral level at Tulsa-based campuses. In addition, Northeastern State University and Langston University offer Bachelors and Masters Degrees in many diverse and high-demand areas. At least 3,000 students are currently working toward advanced degrees. In addition, two nationally distinguished, private institutions are available - Tulsa University and Oral Roberts University. For students just beginning their college degrees, Tulsa Community College, the state's largest higher education institution, offers courses at five different campuses which allow for flexible scheduling and sites.
